Band Baaja Baaraat

It is a 2010 Bollywood comedy directed by debutant director Maneesh Sharma and stared Anushka Sharma with the then newcomer Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. Produced and distributed by Yash Raj films, the film is a love story set in the world of wedding planning.

Shandaar

Shaandar is an Indian romantic-comedy film, directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane. It stars Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles, with Pankaj Kapoor in supporting roles. “The Times of India” described ‘Shaandar’ as “India’s first destination wedding film”.

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya

It is a 2014 Hindi romantic comedy film written and directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar. It features Varun Dhawan as Humpty Sharma and Alia Bhatt as Kavya Pratap Singh in the lead roles.

It is a 2013 Indian film directed by Vikas bahl. It revolves around the 24-year old homely girl, Rani (Kangana Ranaut) who decides to go on her honeymoon alone when her fiance calls off their wedding.

A 2011 indian romantic film directed by Anand L. Rai, and produced by Shailesh R. Singh. It stars R. Madhavan, Kangana Ranaut and Jimmy Shergill in lead roles.

Shudh Desi Romance

“Shuddh Desi Romance”, released internationally as ‘A Pure Desi Romance’, is a 2013 Bollywood romantic comedy film directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra. It features Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor in leading roles. The story, set in Jaipur, Rajasthan explores the views of the younger generation on commitment, live-in relationships and arranged marriages as compared to love marriages in small town India.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

“Mere Brother Ki Dulhan”, also known by the abbreviated form ‘MBKD’, is a 2011 Indian romantic drama film directed and written by Ali Abbas Zafar. It stars Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ali Zafar and debutante Tara D’Souza in the lead roles.

Vivah

“Vivah” is a 2006 Indian romantic drama film, written and directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya. Starring Amrita Rao and Shahid Kapoor, it was produced and distributed by Rajshri Productions. It tells the story of two individuals, and relates their journey from engagement to marriage and aftermath.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

It is a 2008 Indian romantic comedy film written and directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra under the banner Yash Raj films. Shah Rukh Khan plays a mild-mannered office worker named Surinder Sahni, whose love for the beautiful and vivacious Taani (Anushka Sharma) causes him to transform himself into the loud and fun-loving “Raj” to win her love.
