Travelling across the world, what’s one thing that stands out in Indian Bridal make– up?

The love of all things sparkling! A lot of Indian brides love to dazzle and sparkle and up their make-ups to uber glam!

Do you have a specific process for bridal makeup?

I like to think every bride is different and so I, and we as a company, never go into the trial thinking it’s a formula. Each bride deserves something a little special and unique.

What are some tips for the bride-to-be, as she prepares for her wedding?

Don’t stress so much. Try and enjoy the whole process and journey. Drink enough water and get enough sleep! Don’t go crazy on a new regime for skin or ‘wellbeing’ unless you have specific skin issues etc.

When’s the best time a bride should consult her make-up and hair artist?

Weirdly enough, not too soon. A preliminary chat 3-6 months before just to get a vibe of each other but a trial can be a month or 3 weeks before. Enough time to sort out any issues.

Important criteria when it comes to selecting a makeup artist?

Experience. Kindness. Technical ability. Someone who can do good ‘skin’ in an off camera.

On the day of the wedding, what should be in the bride’s makeup box?

A lipstick/gloss and compact should be in the bride’s makeup box.

What’s a personal make- up style you would love to infuse in bridal makeup?

Fabulous and flawless skin, whatever the occasion.

Some of the commonly overdone mistakes done in bridal makeup?

Sometimes too much product on the face, which can leave the bride uncomfortable and in person can look cake-like.

Issues such as weather and insane temperature, what are some makeup restrictions you face?

We always run out of time and the lighting and temperature can create issues. Being calm in the moment is paramount.

What are five products you definitely recommend for your bridal makeup kit?

Good skincare – BIODERMA. Bobbi Brown bases have an amazing colour range and give such a beautiful finish. MAC Paint pots for longer-lasting effects. Benefit’s ‘They’re Real’ mascara. OCC Lip tars – vegan makeup with ultimate colour range and staying power.

What’s your favorite moment when you do your bridal makeup?

Seeing the bride happy as she leaves to take her vows.

How to do you finally finish the makeup for the bride?

You always check the make-up in different lights to check blending and intensity etc. Then accordingly any final touches will get done.
