Midnight in Paris

When the hour long telephonic conversation ended with Woody Allen, Marion Cotillard said: “Oh, my God, I’ve been talking to Woody Allen – that was Woody Allen’s voice!”

Dearest Reader,

I met the beautiful Adriana at Rue de Fleurus. The next night at the Musée des Arts Forains, I walked with her to Montmartre on to Rue Lamarck. We kissed at Restaurant Paul on Rue Henri Robert. Adrianna was trapped by the magic of past, but I returned only to break up my engagement with Inez. Being strangely happy about it, I decided to take a walk along the Seine when a familiar face caught my eye – Gabrielle. I last met her at the flea market of Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen on Rue des Rosiers. I knew this is what is meant to be. I found love, yet again, in the rain at midnight in Paris.

Dear Reader

At Wien Westbahnhof railstation ,Vienna, we met. Nearby, we found a vinyl collectors heaven and listened to Kathbllom Teuchter Schallplattenhandung. On a giant ferris wheel at the western end of the Prater park, we kissed. Our confessional phone game at Café Speri was unforgettable.  In six months we thought we’d meet but it was a wait of nine years. Love in a lapse of time.

Lots of love

Before Sunrise

At the end of the film it is revealed that Jesse and Celine met on June 16th. This is the same date as in James Joyce’s “Ulysses,” which follows Leopold Bloom around Dublin for one day. June 16th is celebrated as “Bloomsday.”.
